Labor Day Weekend Fun in the Sun!!

We had a VERY busy weekend. The pictures are in order of the weekend.

This was Friday night we went to Platteville to my friend Heather's 30th birthday get together. We had cake and food and a blazin "Rewey" camp fire. The kids had fun playing with other little ones and Nick was able to make it and we had a good time catching up with friends.

Saturday we headed to the pool for probably the last time for this year. The water was pretty chilly but the warmth of the sun was there to greet you when you got out of the pool so it was all good. The girls never tire of the pool and this time they even made it to the park with Grandpa.

Clara crashed, with no nap and a day in the sun and pool it didn't take much before her eyes dropped like a ton of bricks. I have video of her snoring like crazy too :) She'll love me for that some day.

Sunday we went to Shullsburg, WI to a family reunion. It was very warm but luckily there was lots of shade and a good breeze. Didn't stop some red faces from appearing but lots of water and some down time in the shade fixed that.

Clara Dee crashed again. We made it home surprisingly enough but about 1 minute in my lap in the rocker and she was a goner.


Monday we were off to Lancaster to the "Farm". John and Cindy invited us out for a day of fun and fun it sure was.
Girls with Uncle Ward on the Golf cart. He even let Paige drive (yikes that scary) but she did quite well.
Paige on "her" horse Rachel. She refused to ride the others because this one had a pink briddle and she had to ride THAT horse. I think she would have stayed there for forever if we'd let her.

Kaelynn on Josie the horse. She did awesome, wasn't scared and went around and around the carall so many times I lost count.

My dare devil baby. Well okay she's not a baby any more but I was VERY impressed with her. She insisted the whole time leading up to it that she wanted to ride a neigh (that's what she calls horses) and by golly if she didn't just plop herself on that horse with a huge smile and ride that horse just like her sisters.

We went on a hay ride after the horses were put away and Paige and Grandpa sat by one another.
Clara was by MiMie and Aunt Cin. She looks mad here but it's just the sun in her eyes, she really enjoyed herself.
And Kaelynn, big smile and so excited to be by Daddy on the hay ride.

And of course I had to add in the last Clara crashed picture of the weekend. She didn't make it back from the hay ride awake. Poor kid just slumped over MiMie's legs and went to sleep. I guess that says it pretty well about the kind of weekend we had. Everyday was full of fun and sun and we are all dirty and tired to proove it, well I guess Clara is a little less tired than the rest of us now that she snuck in her power naps:)
